Case Study: easyJet

HELPING EASYJET PLAN
FOR THE FUTURE OF WORKING

Situation and challenge

As easyJet’s Luton Campus offices continued to grow, finding available meeting rooms or desk space was becoming a challenge. The company had to think fast about how to manage and enable a new way of ‘hybrid’ working. The airline looked for a solution that would allow employees to request a flexible desk space.

Solution

Following rigorous user testing, easyJet worked with Ricoh to implement the solution, first on a trial basis, before rolling out for all its teams. To book a workplace, easyJet employees simply use the RICOH Spaces mobile app or web browser and scan a QR code on the reserved desk to log their arrival. The Property Team at easyJet uses the reporting tools within RICOH Spaces to explore current and historic workspaces usage, and to assist with future changes.

How can you make sure that you know who is coming into the office, and when, that there are enough workplaces and that colleagues can find one quickly? That was the challenge Visma | Raet faced during the renovation of its offices and following its rapid expansion. The organisation looked for a solution that allowed employees to reserve a flexible workspace, or regular workspace, based on capacity available.

Solution

RICOH Spaces provided a clear overview of available space as well insights into how the space is being used and who is using it. With
a better understanding of space utilisation,
the facilities department were able to flexibly adjust available capacity based on demand,
as well as make more sustainable and cost-efficient decisions about the layout and use
of their properties.
